Default Suitable Bulb??

Hello guys! i am going to use this bulb:

NEW 1000w Metal Halide Hydroponic GrowLamp/Light Bulb on eBay, also, Light Bulbs, Lighting, Home Garden (end time 13-Dec-08 22:18:05 GMT)

Would this be suitable for my exposure unit or give off to much heat??

Any advice would be much appreciated. Sam.

The bulb in the picture is a HPS bulb. Just make sure you get a metal halide if you order and I am pretty sure it will be fine.

How bizarre! I was just about to post the exact same question. What does HPS standard for and would this bulb be a good option to go with?

Its a photo of a HPS bulb. Metal halide bulbs are huge. Just make sure you get a metal halide and you will be fine. I love mine. I burn 45lpi halftones without a vacuum blanket in 1.15 min every time they and come out perfect.

HPS stands for High Power Sodium and they are not good for exposure units. Metal Halide bulbs on the other hand are good.
