Does joystick registration work?
I am going to buy a manual press and have found both micro registration and joystick registration.
Which is better?

Re: Does joystick registration work? Yes, joystick registration works fine. The only downside imho, is a non tool-free adjustment for the off-contact, but the Riley Hopkins presses c/ joystick registration are fine. I have a Riley Hopkins 6/4 c/ joystick.
Try to get a used high-quality press such as workhorse, vastex etc. if you can. If you purchase a cheap press, you'll never be able to sell it if you decide to upgrade or otherwise. If you purchase an expensive press, you can always sell it and raise some money to upgrade etc..

And I agree, you can't go wrong with a good press.

Re: Does joystick registration work? There are 2 models of presses. Do you have the lower end or the more expensive one?

Re: Does joystick registration work? Also, yes, since my model isn't tool free, what I do is I got one of those ratcheting cresent wrenches for adjustments and it's fantastic!
