Hey there.
I saw a couple threads similar to this, but I've got a kind of weird request.
I'm a designer for a midsized/ screen printing company. We're looking at upgrading our older film printer to a newer model, and I've been volunteered to do the research on it.
Up till now we've been using a Xante ScreenWriter 3 to print film positives onto Kimoto Kimodesk polyester film. We regularly design six-color artwork, and are constantly printing two-color namderops to use with existing screens.
So, the twist is that we need a printer that can make the new film positives line up with the old.
We'd also like to use the same film as we currently do.
A couple questions:
Is a laser printer used for film positives any different than a regular laser printer? Or is the film the only difference?
Is laser the best option for a company that regularly prints 40+ film positives per day?
I'd appreciate greatly any help the community can provide.
Thanks,
Steve
