I received my 4 micro's last night and installed them this morning.
It took a little work - I had to file the vertical slots on a couple of the plates where the micros attach - but it wasn't really that much work.
Once fitted and loaded with screens, I taped down a film positive to the platen and proceeded to try my luck at registering the screens to it. Oh, this was soooo much easier than my method of loosening the screen and tapping it around!
Once everything was properly tightened down it feels pretty sturdy - like it should hold registration well.
I didn't use any ink on this initial test because I don't have anything to print today, but I did jiggle the screens a little and spun the arms around so I could keep checking the registration to my film, and it looks like it's going to hold just fine.
One thing I found to make the registration a little easier was that after you have the screen generally in the right position, register one side, tighten it down a little with the top knob, then register the other side. By doing this, nothing seemed to move out of register when doing the final tightening.
Note: If this reply looks familiar, I just posted it in a different thread a minute ago.
