Discuss the different types of equipment needed for screen printing. Topics include manual screen printing presses, automatic presses, dryers, folding machines, starter kits and high end machines.
Honestly, if it was me I would stay clear from it. The press looks pretty cheap with no micros and you would still need to buy a flash unit. There are much better deals out there you just have to be patient.
Cheers mate, I live in Melbourne, Australia, what would you recommend, looking privately or buying from a shop?
Hello,
My name is Stephen, I live in Melbourne as well. I am in the process of researching screen printing equipment for my own t-shirt brand. I am considering doing the screen printing myself because I think in the long run this will save me money and also give me more control and flexibility with the printing process. Predominantly I plan to be doing one and two colour designs.
I read that you are trying to source screen printing equipment in Melbourne. I’m also in the process of trying to locate screen printing equipment. I managed to locate these guys through Google search. They are called All Australian Screen Printing Supplies - http://www.allaustsps.com.au. They are based in Bayswater. I imagine that because they are retail they would probably ask top dollar for equipment but it’s probably worth going to have a look to see what they have available.
Did you manage to locate any other suppliers here in Melbourne? I would even consider second hand if you could point me in the direction of a second hand screen printing dealer of some sort. I do not know if something like this exists? Any assistance here would be much appreciated.
