Default Basic tension meter question

When I set the tension meter on the mesh and I am looking straight at the dial is the tension meter reading:

1. From left to right of the meter.
or
2. From behind to in front of the meter.

Thanks Troy

behind and in front. In other words, parallel to your line of sight.

It's hard to pop a newmann stretched mesh. I can pop a diamond chase mesh at 25 newtons, and warp the frame too.

Great tension!
There's only two sounds that scare me now, a screen pop over 50 newtons and printing a platen loaded with adhesive.
