Default What is the best manual press m&r chameleon or abacus, vastex 2000hd or antec legend

What is the best manual press if cost is not a consideration (of course it alway's is and used is alway's a great equalizer for this). I've been using a Printa 4color/4station that was given to me about 3 years ago. It's been a good way to get my feet wet, but know I need to get more serious. I'm not looking to go automatic, just great registration/ease of adjustment on a 6-8 color/6-8station manual.

I think I've narrowed it down between the M&R Chameleon/Abacus, Vastex 2000HD or Antec Legend.

Any feedback positive or negative on any of these would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

There was a movie about this forum, I think it was Groundhog Day with Bill Murray

This ought to get you started.
Best 6x6 or 6X4 Manual Press Money can Buy

What is the best Manual Press on the market? (in your opinion)

Workhorse, Vastex or Hopkins 6/4 press

I own a vastex v2000hd and it's great, however, if money wasn't an issue, I would buy an antec legend.

Thanks, Any particular reason you would go with the Antec over the Vastex. Since you already own the Vastex.

I think the antec holds better registration, not that the vastex doesn't hold excellent registration. I mainly like the overall asthetics and engineering of the antec more. I would bet money that the end print product would be identical for each one but being a fan of mechanical engineering and how things are made makes me a huge fan of the antec legend. I am embarrassed to even bring up my dislikes of our press because they are so minor and petty and don't take away from the performance at all. I think the pallets of the antec are superior and that is probably the only difference in quality between the two. I had to reglue the rubber to the pallets shortly after getting the press because there wasn't enough contact cement used on them. I also wish the pallet leveling system came with jamb nuts or lock washers but $20 at Lowes put them up to my standards.
