I also have a Sawgrass Printer and had the same problem when I first got it. I would have to do double prints to get a good amount of color out of it when using the RIP software that came with it. I updated my RIP software to PowerRIP for NaturaLink. That helped a lot and I think this maybe your problem. It gave me the ability to print in one pass with color that was acceptable. It also gives you the ability to print white (if you covert your machine). There are several RIP programs out there and I’m not sure which is the best. Might be able to find that on the forum as well.
Also pay close attention to cleaning, here is an Epson link that show the parts you should be cleaning.

There are several posts on this here in the forum about cleaning and preventing clogging of print heads.
I hope this helps you out a little, and good luck!

Thanks so much for the advise! I am going to try and upgrad my RIP software and hope that will help! I do not want to do the "up grade" to the white, because I have heard more horrible things with that. I just wish Sawgrass would back us up!! Thanks so much for responding. Take care and happy printing. Jeannie
