I was not able to make it to the show, but below in the italics is the feedback that I have heard from a couple of people.
The pretreatment was rolled on the shirt right and dry it on a heat press with silicone paper. It is no longer done directly on the platen and printed wet. No need compressed air to remove the bubbles now either. Print the white ink and then the color. Heat press to cure with silicone paper on top of it. The colors in the Harley Davidson designs looked really good.
- But the Sawgrass CMYK colors according to my color sources have the largest color gamut of all the main inks on the market right now, so that does not suprise me.
Some people mentioned that it looked slower, but from what I am told the printer was running at 1440 for the white underbase on an Epson 4800 printer. Not sure how many people are running a white underbase at 720 on a 4800 using Dupont. So I am not sure why it would take longer than the other 4800 based printers. Might have something to do with the firmware like TSW's video on the Blazer showed.
I did just find this White Ink Limited Warranty on Sawgrass' website -
http://sawgrassink.indigofiles.com/p...W_WI%20(2).pdf. I like the fact that the warranty info is posted even before they sell the product.
Anybody else have any other feedback??? I am trying to get a sample of this white ink to do some wash test. Unfortunately, I don't see Sawgrass on the ISS floorplan so I could see it in person.
