Has anyone seen the new Sawgrass machine? I was told that they are introducing a white at the SGIA show as a retrofit. Has anyone beta tested this? I am looking at DTG machines and would at least like the capability of doing white.

It is my understanding that the white ink will be first shown at the Orlando SGIA Show in 3 weeks. I will be there and will plan on posting some info on it.

That is the rumour but as always i would wait for something formal to confirm.

If they do have it i can tell you as a dealer that it is not a retrofit at all. You will simply need to change out one side of the cmyk cartridges to cleaning solution and then put the white ink carts in. You will also need a rip to really do the white layers the best. I can confirm that the rip is already online so the ink is all that is needed to proceed.

I would stay tuned as the show grows closer.

simple, applied on a wet pretreated shirt, and the dried, when finished came our milky gray. but said it would be better by showtime. so until then I rest my additional comments

Mark, I enjoy your unbiased opinions. I receive many calls daily with comments and reports. I hold 99.9% of them confidential.

For me, you are correct, let's wait until 3 weeks from now.

SGIA is the platform many manufacturer's come there at a significant cost $$$.

I have a sample black shirt with a clients logo on it.

Print quality is great, my problem is that it does not see white, you have to set the white as 1% cyan to get it to print it well.

Even with the problem of some of the white not showing, I got a years contract to produce 10,000 t shirts. And have already up

Will be ordering mine as soon as my dealer (Applied Stretch) is back in the country.
