Default Wands - Applying to delicate fabrics

Can a heat wand be used to apply rhinestones to a more heat sensitive fabric? I am not all that familiar with them. I have a press, but there are some fabrics that I cannot press yet people want those fabrics with stones. I know the heat is not good but would it hurt the small area underneath the stone. Also, I know there are ultrasonic wands but I don't want to spend a lot on a wand right now since I think I would rarely use it. Anyways, how much do ultrasonic wands go for and where can you buy them?

If heat will damage the fabric then it doesn't matter how the heat is applied. I would use a glue such as Gem Tac on delicate fabric.
