Matt, as I said, it is not custom charges, its UPS brokerage fees. This has nothing to do with our government, it is how UPS does business. It hits my clothing business and it hit my hobby of old muscle cars, anyone that deals with UPS, I just can t justify buying from, since they have such extreme prices for their so-called brokerage fees.
Heres an example, say the last time I bought from you was 100 dollars, they called me and said if I paid them by credit card over the phone, it would be 32 dollars in brokerage fees, if I paid by cheque, it would be 39 dollars. Nothing changed except their guy had to pick up a cheque.. Anyone else I deal with, the most I ve ever paid in brokerage fees per 100, was 14 dollars. In dealing with the US, I ve never paid customs fees for clothing supplies.
