Default PrintMojo and proofing

What method does PrintMojo use to proof your jobs? Overall how accurate was the color/placement of your order?

Where I work for full color printing (on paper) we require customers to see a color matched proof off of an Epson Proofing printer. Seasoned customers are allowed to view PDF's on the computer only if they understand the color might not match perfectly.

If you have a PrintMojo store please PM me the address, I may buy a shirt from you to see their quality.

Proofs are digital, sent via email as a JPG image.

Since you work in a print shop, I'm sure you're aware that there will always be some variation between what you see on a backlit monitor and how ink looks on an actual substrate

They do their best to run the proofs through filters to make them as accurate as possible.

You can see samples stores on the PrintMojo website and in their "mall" of merchants.

I looked at all of the sample stores.

Hehe I am all too well aware of the colorshift present in the variation between the RGB and CMYK color spectrum (especially on monitors where RGB is additive color and CMYK for printing is subtractive.)

Which is why I was worried about proofing and using a company that is so far away that I can't actually stop by to take a look at a hard copy proof from something like an Epson proofing machine that is color calibrated. I was wondering if anyone has ever actually had a hard copy mailed to them or something; or generally how satisfied merchants are with the slight colorshift that will be unavoidable from doing a digital proof...etc.

That's understandable. For some people, being able to stop in and see the actual shirt is preferred over a digital proof. If that's a big issue, finding a local printer that can do the work may be the best option.

PrintMojo generally doesn't do hard copy mailing. Sometimes it can be worked out for larger orders (1000+ pieces per design)
