Default print mojo t-shirt selling at cost + donation

I am also looking to sell T-shirts on PrintMojo "at cost". I run a website that's run with donations from users.

Is there a way for me to setup the store so that I can list the T-shirts "at cost", and the buyer can have the option of paying more as donations?

I want my users to be able to have the T-shirts, and they can pay additional amount.. whatever they feel like it's reasonable for them, after covering the initial expense.

Please let me know if this is possible with PrintMojo. thanks.

Chipa

You would need to set your selling price. The user wouldn't be able to add an amount over your selling price.

It sounds a bit more complicated than it needs to be though. I would suggest just selling the t-shirts for a fair reasonable price and those that want to donate can purchase one.

Another option would be to PRE-sell the t-shirts on your site using PayPal and then just have the orders fulfilled by PrintMojo after they are sold and you know how many you need. You may be able to set up more complicated pricing through PayPal.

Rodney, thanks. I think PayPal might be the way to go. How do you have the orders fulfilled by PrintMojo, but have the credit card transactions handled by PayPal?

I currently have "Donation" buttons that I use via PayPal, but I am not sure how I can get PM to ship the T-shirts to those people..

Maybe this question is best directed to the Print Mojo folks.

thanks for your help.

A couple ways to do it. The best way would probably be:

Take all the orders via your website with PayPal (be sure to include fulfillment fees in your "at cost" pricing).

Take that PayPal money and make an inventory order at PrintMojo.

Create coupons for 100% off (in the merchant dashboard area) and give one to each customer that pre-paid for a t-shirt. They can then place the order through your PrintMojo store and only pay for shipping.

Rodney,

Thanks for your help. I've been corresponding with Jasmine, and she's been great! I am glad to see that you have good people working there at PrintMojo.

Looking forward to getting the T-shirts printed and getting the website setup.

thanks again,
Chipa
