1. While the silk screen printing of printmojo appeals to me, I am struggling finding details of how I can do a one sample kind of check to see if the product I want to sell comes out the way I want? Since no OnDemand one-off, does PrintMojo accomodate this in anyway?
2. Also, considering which fulfillment company to go with in terms of quality tee shirt and reasonably lowcost start up. If shirt demand offers it, I would like to implement more or all phases of the business but have to get started somewhere...anyone have thoughts?
3. Finally, when I read light or dark colors, does that imply I can have a combination of 25 dark tee shirts (of different dark colors and different sizes) to reach the total of 25?

No, PrintMojo does't do one off samples because of the setup time and costs involved.

Not sure what you mean by this?

Yes, you can mix and match colors and sizes in that 25 as long as the design stays the same. I wouldn't recommend doing a minimum order of 25 AND mixing up the colors a lot. That will make handling inventory a big challenge (2 small red 2 small blue 2 medium red 2 medium blue, etc).
It's better to have less of a color selection and more inventory for your customers to buy.
In regards to (2), should demand warrant it, I would like to personally produce the shirts, handle the inventory myself, set up my own order procurement, and provide the customer service directly? I am considering going with a zazzle, cafepress, or printmojo because I am not capable of taking on all that right now plus the risk may not be warranted when I am not sure how much of my product I will sell. Make more sense (and thanks for your quick reply to my original post!)
Rodney, since you work at PrintMojo, can I ask about getting some of the data about customers who buy my shirts. That was a beef I had with CafePress customer rep who said I would not be shared any details about the customers buying my products - only what products were bought - tough to manage a customer relationship with no data. Is this data more available through PrintMojo? Thanks.

That's a great idea if you have the equipment and knowledge to do it. Handling all the production and service yourself gives you more control over the whole process and with any business, the more you do yourself, the more savings you'll have.
Fulfillment services are more for those people that don't want to be printers or don't want to have a warehouse of shirts in their house or worry about ecommerce. They just want to design and market their products.

We do have a program that allows customers the option of sharing their details with the merchant if they so choose. The merchant needs to provide a privacy policy that they will agree to and provide their company contact information so customers will have access to it.
That would be something you'd need to contact support for though.
Thanks again - one more...I have read most of the PrintMojo postings now and wasn't sure if one question was answered...after completing order, it sounds like PM is the active page. Is it configurable to go back to your own store? I am hoping to have my own domain name and hook into PM but want the completion of the sale to result on my own website - does PM allow this? Thanks!

The completion of all sales happens on the PrintMojo secure servers.
If you wanted to do all the credit card processing and shopping cart stuff on your side, you could still send PrintMojo the orders for fulfillment.
But if you are just using the standard service, then the checkout would happen at PrintMojo.
I was going to register this a.m. with PrintMojo so that I could obtain price quotes and the like but the process takes you through the process of actually naming your store as well as signing off on the terms and conditions - why is that step necessary for price quotes? Why isn't it sufficient to know who I am?

Just part of the normal signup process. Just to make sure you understand the service and what it's about.
