Default labels vs. no labels...

i understand that using printmojo as a fulfillment service for a new t shirt company means that the shirt labels (gildan, aa, anvil, etc) stay with the shirt.

that said, does anyone have any opinions on how this may deter my product branding? is it worth paying the extra to have your own labels sewn in off the bat?

i appreciate any feedback...

Not necessarily. Printmojo can relabel the shirts with your own brand label.

There are lots of opinions about this posted in the forums, but I think if you are just selling online, having your own label is more for your "peace of mind" than it is for your customers. "In general", customers don't care if it has a brand label in the neck line, it usually just makes the t-shirt designer feel good

It can help branding, but if it cost is a concern, and it comes down to spending money on labels and relabeling or spending money on advertising and marketing, I would say spend the money on advertising and marketing every time.

If money isn't a concern, then it will help your branding, and when you make the move to selling in offline brick and mortar retail stores, retail buyers may take notice that you have your own branded shirts.
