Default Questions about leasing a printer

I have been looking for a used Roland Verscamm SP-300 for over a year and I have not found anything worth buying.

Either they have been in storage and the heads are all tried up and there is no way of doing a test print or they are over five years old and in need of new heads and other parts. With the cost of new heads running into the thousands a used machine could cost a whole lot more in the long run.

The other problem is most of the used machines are in the $5,500 to $9,000 dollar range and that is alot of money to spend on five year old technology and your not sure if it even prints.

Since I cannot find a decent used printer I am thinking of leaseing a brand new one and would like to hear from anyone who has leased a Roland printer and where they got the best deal.

Any help would be great.

Thanks Jimbo

Sorry I can't help with you being in the states and i'm sure it's totally different from the UK
BUT on a sidenote, 5 year technology that works without any problems.

I've got a SP300 and i've been offered upto £4k but I just won't sell it, I'll keep mine as a spare just incase something goes wrong with another newer machine and they are worth there weight in gold

If your buying 2nd hand, just ask for a test print before buying and your sorted

Good luck
