Hope you guys and mrdavid are still monitoring this post.
I want to buy the pigment ink from inkjetfly for my Epson 1400.
I want to go with the refillable carts, because I don't know how often I will be printing. Does anyone know if these carts are reliable?

I have the refillable cartradges and yes they are reliable. I use the Epson 1400 and still use the Claria compatable dye inks. They work great and don't fade when used with the Jet Pro soft streatch transfer paper that I have. They do work with some of the opaque transfers for collors and darks but I don't like the way they feel so I don't use them. I went with the refillable cartradges because I will (eventualy) be moving the printer around to different places to set up and sale shirts and signs and the CISS setups just looked too fragile for a lot of packing and unpacking. Plus, you need to have special places to have the CISS cartradges at a certain level to make the thing work right without siphoning or having to draw to hard to get the ink to flow too far uphill to get to the proper place in the printer.

I am thinking about using vinyl transfers, or iron all for darks with pigment ink, for 3-4 color simple design. I think the transfer paper method would be easiest, because I would only have to weed one time. But not sure about durability.
Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the two?
Soft hand?
Durability through wash cycles, etc?
