Default Newbie needs HELP finding best CIS system

I'm new to all of this so here goes.

I've started a new business with heat transfers for now. All of a sudden I'm in great need of a CIS, I think. Now the question arises WHICH ONE? Are all the delivery systems alike. I've looked here at the different companies that sell them and I'm still not sure which is best.

I have an Epson R260 that works great for me. Are the inks from these different companies all the same or will they clog my printer? If they turn over (I have kids) will I have a big mess? I looking for something affordable yet quality.

I know this probably has been answered in the past but I have read as much as I can read tonight and I really need to get a system Ordered.

Thanks for all your help

Darla

One thing is will you print at least once day or yes you will have problems.

If you are using carts then yes you will have fun if your kids turn them over and one hell of A mess.

the carts are different so go with company that has been doing this for long time..

when it comes down to inks as long as you use pigment you will be OK lot pigment is the same just company's will change name to sell is all...

what kind of transfers are you going to be doing, lights only? what kind of paper are you printing on,dye ink or pigmented?
If your looking for dye ink, try cis inks I just ordered a new system for my epson rx595, the old one kept telling me that it couldn't recognize the cartriges, new generation is suppost to be better. with resetters right on the tanks. With the last system I had I would say I saved 500.00 not buying single tanks from the store.
I didn't print evey day and had no problems.

I use a pigment ink CIS from inkjetfly.com on my Epson 1400. We print both heat transfers and film positives for screen printing from the same CIS system. I don't have experience with any other CIS, but the inkjetfly has been flawless for the 3 months that I've used it. You WILL have a mess if the cartridges get bumped over, but if you can tuck it next to the printer or tape it to the side you can probably avoid any bad accidents.

The ink lasts forever, I figure I would have spent close to $700 on Epson ink already, and I'm not through the original fill on the CIS yet (which I think is like 80 bucks anyway). I've gone up to a week without printing while on vacation, and did not experience any clogs upon returning to work. I always hear of clogging problems with the Epsons though, so maybe I'm just lucky.
