Default Mixing inks from different vendors

Hi all,

I was just wondering if it's a bad idea to mix inks from different vendors? For example: I'm using supplier A for my pigmentation ink, and I'd like to try supplier 2 when I run low. Can I just add the new ink when I'm low, or should I run completely out and purge all that's in there before adding the new stuff? By the way, this is using a CISS system.

Thanks...

Mixing inks is not a good idea.

So...How would you do the cross over? Would you use up all the current ink until the CISS lines fill with air, then fill the containers with the new ink? I thought it would be ok to wait until the CISS got low(to the bottom, and then just add the new ink.

Empty-flush with cleaning fluid-fill.
