My 1400 is doing the same thing and it worked perfect yesterday so I know the heads aren't clogged. I'll let you know if I find anything but I'll be watching this thread closely otherwise...

I'm not sure I understand.... Do you mean spitting out blank pages and not printing at all?

I read the manual and it said that if is going through the printing motion but doesn't actually print then the heads are clogged. There is a quick cleaning cycle described. It worked temporarily so i'm still looking for a more permanant solution.
Turns out the heads/nozzles can clog overnight.

are you using a bulk ink system or carts. odds are that the nozzles aren't clogged. Rarely are they all clogged at once. It could be a damaged or loose ribbon cable.

I would look for a cut or bend in the cables. I thought of a couple of things you could try first is. Cleaning the capping station and cleaning the encoder strip.

Are you out of ink? Sorry if that seems stupid but it is the obvious first question?

On the second thought, this might be stupid but have you tried to re-install printer driver? I have seen similar issue before and you need to remove driver completely, restart operating system and re-install driver.
