Default Image size smaller when printed

I have an image that is 3" x 3" but when it is printed, the image is a little smaller. My guess is this is caused by the plain paper setting used for transfer paper that requires "borders", which slightly reduces the actual printed size of the image. Does anyone know the settings and/or adjustments necessary for an Epson printer to get the actual print size to equal the file's image size?

In the settings you could try "borderless" don't know if this will work but you could try it.

I can only use borderless with Photo paper, but the transfer paper instructions say to print in the plain paper setting, which only prints with the borders setting, so I'm guessing that some adjustments need to be made either to my original file size (increasing it by ? % or a certain amount of size to compensate for the reduction for the border) or change a setting in the print properties. The exact changes are what I'm looking for.

It was happening in Flexi, the program I use to Contour Cut. I found a setting in the page set-up that needed to be "Scale 100%" in order to get it to print the correct size.

Thanks for your attempts to help.

You need to look for the printers properties buttons then go in and click each tab (file drop down) maybe, if not click on (print page set up) and there should be a options bar at the top go to (printer properties settings) and make sure the (borders option) is turned off and make sure the (fit to scale is off).
also check ,your (images size)on the properties bar not what you typed in. where it was created. if photoshop go to canvas size under the edit drop down and increase the canvas size by 33% see if your print comes out to correct size
