Default Which HP printer to get?

A buddy of mine can get me an hp printer that is a year old or so for little to nothing (and no, there not stolen lol). Asked for an epson but there harder to come by.

He asked me which model I need so he can keep an eye out for one. I don't want something big and bulky, just desktop size.
Which model would suit me best for my screen printing and heat pressing needs?
It has to be at least a 13x19.

thanks.

Default Re: Which HP printer to get?

First I have an HP printer and I have had minimal success printing transfers. The reason is that hp doesn't usually come with pigment inks but dye ink. In my printer only the black was pigment and the colors were dye. As of last year the ink for my printer is all dye. I was no longer able to find the black pigment ink cartridge in my area, and when i did print a few transfers using only the black pigment ink they did not make it past the first wash test as they all came out faded. Not something you would want to sell. So I would have to say that getting an HP printer you will be limiting yourself.

Check out the clearance section on Epson.com they have great deals with free shipping right now. I just picked up a c120 printer for $31.00 when the inks for my Epson c88+ printer cost $46 alone. great deals.
