epson c88
i have an epson c88 and i absolutley loove it!!
i bought it at computr show for $50.. i also get ink from shows for $12 a 4-color pack...
i am wondering if this may be causing me problems...
recently i went to print and a note came up saying general error..delete print job, turn machine off, wait few seconds and start back up..
well i have done it and it still does not print..
i had just replaced ink and it had loaded and i was waiting to print my job...it acted like it was going to print, the lil screen showing the printjob, ink level, etc always pop up and then the general error takes over..
has anyone else had this problem?
what can i do to fix it??
i absolutely loove this printer but i will take a recommendation on a better one (not 3 in 1..just a straight printer) by epson..
help!

we got an error on our c-88 printer nearing the end of life! then it just didn't print, throw it away and get a new one, still can find them out there.

I agree, I love c88's, but I do have about 4-6 dead ones in my basement. :P They're fairly shortlived if you're print a LOT with other inks especially. I also agree that they are still out there...you can still get them on the Epson website. Um, c88+ you can.

Is there any more info besides the general error. Check your connections, especially the USB cable. If it it an end if life error. that can be fixed with a couple of muse clicks.

forgot about this question...

UPDATE:
after doing what the mfg said to do, someone who happen to be visiting me said unplug your printer, wait few seconds..cut it back on...my printer has been working better than ever for 2 1/2 weeks now..
