[Epson Printers] ink mixing and best epson printer
I am new to this business but since i bought 1200 mugs and other bits, wel..now i need to settle on a printer etc....
I have an Epson R1800 i have being using very little but it has been used with normal inkjet inks. I now would like to use dye sublimation inks and i am wondering if it s ok to just swap or am i looking trouble?
I also have the Epson R200 a R220 and a unused Epson D120 which i know i can just start with the dye sub ink, by the way is the D120 printer any good for making mugs, keyrings and other A4 dye sub printing?
Any help on narrowing down which printer to use is much appreciated,
I would not let any inkjet ink mix with dye sub inks. Keep them seperate. Inkjet ink is either a dye or pigment ink, and that ink does not turn into a gas under the heat of the press. Dye sub ink turns into a gas under the heat of the press, and you don't want the other kind of ink mixed in with the dye sub, it will mess with the results. Good luck to you.
Hi there, I was hoping you could help me as I am new to mug printing, I bought a Epson D120 printer with a CISS system and sublimation ink. Yesterday I set it all up and it was brilliant I made my first 3 mugs until I had to go out so I touched nothing I was gone for a hour, when I came back I made a new design and tried to print it it came out all wrong its now not printing blue or green. I have tried everything with the system e.g cleaning pipes making sure theres no blocks. I have done a head clean and nozzle checks I'm at a loss now can anyone help?
Hi thanks for your reply, Yeah I have, I have even done a clean re-install, blead the pipes and everything. Blues coming out black and just no green all the other colours are fine. I thought it might be the actual printer thats the problem like the chip in the ciss I really dont know.
I have just taken the CISS system out of the D120 and bought the Epson ink cartridges and tried printing blue but no blue so its a printer error. There is something wrong with it I can't figure out whats wrong with it
