Default epson 1400 setting RGB or CMYK?

Hi guys, I just got this Epson 1400 and about to do some jobs for our school. What is the best setting to use? RGB or CMYK?

Shouldn't actually make a difference, the colours will be translated for printing anyway.

Hi Dave, I heard some people said RGB prints better like brighter and colors are more intense.
CMYK looks duller.

RGB colour gamuts are usually larger than CMYK and it makes sense to keep the gamut as large as possible until the last minute, but as long as you working CMYK profile is as big or greater than your output profile it shouldn't clip any colours.
These things are maps and points (colours) are converted between them, it is only when colours are off the map that compromises are made.

DUDE...where do you learn all this? Can you tell me how can I check the CMYK profile stuff? I use Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop CS2 for my design. I'm one of those guys that have no clue about profile and what knot.
