Hi Dennis,

I'm not familiar with that particular model, but I have the c88+, a few c120's, cxc9400... and more.

What I do understand is if the printer is not built as a *commercial* printer, but more for a consumer use, we will be using up their lifespan in a much earlier time when we use them for high production like this. I have a few printers in stock for the day my inkjet keels over from exhaustion.

The answer will depend on whether your model is a commercial model or consumer model. Commercial is built to withstand heavy, continual use, consumer is not.

You will be able to print many, many prints back to back. I believe others have posted that they have used their inkjet to print off 100-300 sheets of JPSS/jetpro sofstretch paper for jobs. It takes days! haha... but the printer should not quit during the job. (No guarentees on that, if there is something wrong in the printer, this kind of printing could kick it off for sure.)

But the thing is, if the printer would have lasted you 3 yrs, just as an example, with heavy use like this, it may last only 1 year, as another example only.

I hope this helps and answers the question... somehow.

An Epson, which doesn't boil ink like bubblejets shouldn't have any issues with constant use.

To be honest, these smaller printers are more efficient if you print all day everyday, as long as you understand they won't last long, but then again they're so cheap that you can toss them and buy another one.

We do a lot of prints (thousands in a month). We normally use an Epson 4400 and an Epson 4000 for this. We tried to use a smaller printer (C87), and although it did the job well, after 3 months we had to toss the printer (cheaper to buy another one than service the existing one).
The large printers also need to be serviced, and their service typically costs more than a few little printers (assuming you just change the printer and not the bulk ink system).

If you have the odd high volume job, I would stick with a little printer. If you do them all the time, the time wastage alone (the little printers are painfully slow) can justify the upgrade to a bigger unit.

^^^ I agree with John, that is what I was trying to relay. Thanks for a big expanse on the information, John. I tend to think of these littler printers as "disposable printers."
