it will not work...the dark will take over...that is why there are two kinds of paper...If you find a way...the path to your door will be paved with $$
But technically, there are some cases where you could use a light transfer paper to print on say a dark blue shirt. I have also printed black text on red shirts (considered as dark?) using light laser transfers.

Tried this too, but some colors of the design do fade in the shirt and some "pop" out more.
Better safe with transfer papers for darks though.
