Re: trouble with MIS ink cartridges not flowing Some things to try:
1. Don't ever waste your time with an ALIGNMENT - this has nothing to do with nozzles not printing.
2. Black ink is thicker (bigger particles of sublimation material in the water based suspension) than the other colours, so if the particles are too big for the print head, it will always block.
3. If you are using cartridges only and NOT bottles, then your problem may well be the cartridges.
4. If you are using bottles attached to the cartridges with pipes, then make sure the bottles are on the same level as the printer (on the same table), and that if there are any ink filters they are clean. If there is ink in the filter (on the bottle) make a hole in it with a pin.
5. As a last resort, lift your ink bottles 1 foot off the table and do three cleaning cycles from the printer itself (not the PC). Once done, lower the inks to the table with the printer and leave for 10 min. This will in most cases sort the problem out. DO NOT LEAVE THE BOTTLES RAISED AS ALL THE INK WILL DRAIN FROM THE BOTTLES INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE PRINTER. |
