Default Another Inkjet vs Laser

Hello,
After doing some research, I noticed that there is quite a bit of debate about inkjets vs laser printer transfers. A lot of the information I found on this forum seemed to be a bit out dated so I decided to make a new thread. Idealy, I'm looking for a method that works well with both darks and light, but I can live with only light t-shirts. I hear that there is a new 3G Jet paper for inkjets that looks promising. Has anyone had any luck with it? Also, I was wondering about imageclip paper for darks when it comes to laser printers? Money isn't too much of an issue as long as I can keep it under the $5k mark.

Also, which would be the best printer for either method? Thanks for the help folks. The amount of helpful information on this website is truly inspiring.

If you are looking at pigment ink I would use Epson printer.

If you are looking at laser printer I woud say OKI laser printer.

Now for printing shirts I would try and get some samples of both and try it then make up your mind
every one has there own way of doing this.

I am in a similar Boat..
I do dye sublimation on poly, and chromoblast on cotton.. In both cases I can do only white shirts.
I do have a Graphtech cutter, and a GEO Knight 16x20 press.
now.
I get more orders for Blue, maroon, etc.. and need to print light colour Sport logo's on dark shirts.
In quantities of a dozen or so at a time..
Can't just yet justify a DTG printer, or a versaCamm cut print.
So..
Inkjet or Laser,?? for quality prints on dark shirts. Prefer a all in one, Printer for $300- $600. Range.
Quality = soft hand, washability, a little stretchabilty ?
oh, and reliable to apply without hit and miss peeling off the backing to find a surprise.
