Discuss the different brands, makes and models of printers used to print inkjet and laser heat transfers. Also includes information on the inks that can be used to make your own transfers.
I am a newbie to the forum and also to the t-shirt world. Well not completely new, I have been wearing them for years, but I am now excitedly toying with the idea of starting my own venture.
I guess the big question ... 'should I?' ... only I can answer.
It strikes me as an existing and potentially quite fun media to launch my designs onto.
Any advice for a newbie will be truly welcomed; I guess my big query is to laser printers … how do I transfer white text onto a dark back ground? - so far it is making NO sense to me

Transfer papers for dark garments are white. To get white text, you print your design on the white transfer, leaving text area unprinted. The white from the transfer shows through and you now have white text.
Generally, you would have a full color transfer leaving desired white areas unprinted.

Thanks for being kind enough to respond. Does this still work if it is only text?
