Peace I recently designed a business magnet to put on my truck. I recieved a call from a guy asking how much would it be for a grey T-Shirt with " Giants " on the front and " Fly Guy " and 611 on the back of ther Tee. I was thinking $25-$30 bucks, because I was going to do it in Vinyl instead of heat transfer because I have no opaque paper. What do you think I should charge for this Shirt he wants to use as a baseball shirt? Grey Tee Red Letterning. Peace Divine
Peace Thank you because I do want to make money and continue to get business. Do you know any good place to get my transfers made at? Peace Divine
Are you only doing one shirt? For one shirt I normally do it myself with my sign design software, FlexiSign Pro, and cut on my plotter using heat transfer, such as HotMark or ThermaFlex. Small roll runs around $24-28, 15" x 10yd roll, but can do lots of shirts/ apparel with it. It lasts pretty good, just make sure you completely follow the temp. setting and time.
I also order transfers for larger orders, at least 25 or more. Less time consuming, and does wash and wear better. Order most of mine from Transfer Express. There is a link to them under Preferred Vendors. They are great. Websit users friendly and I have had great service with them. Use them all the time, especially during baseball and football season, like now.
Good Luck, your price sounds good to. We all need to be able to make some money, we can do it for free.
Have a great day

Peace I too use Flexisign Pro to design my work, Have not yet figured out how to print transfers out onto my epson 1400 cis though. I gave the person the $25 price, they said that was good. So I made it 1 grey Tee and they called me back and ask for another one for their friend in a 4x. I told him the 4x would be $35 and he said that was cool. I sold him the pitch that doesn't it pay to be a first time customer and he agreed lol. Thank all of you for the advice. Anyone know how can I put the correct settings on my epson 1400 so that I can print directly from Flexisign pro 8.5 Peace Divine

I'm not familar with the Epson you spoke of, but I do my "one" time jobs with my plotter, using the HotMark or ThermFlex. They work great for simple designs, can do several colors, layered on, or outline, just like you would do a vinyl sign. Just remember to reverse the image before you cut. I normally have to adjust my pressure to almost what I would cut reflective in. It works great. Have a blessed day. T
hey i m vikas are u intrested in export/import business of garments(knitted). i can provide u of any kind vid reasonable rate you can be in touch vid me for dis ..........
Charge 35-45$ a shirt at least and spend a lot of time on it. I am the Director of sales for a commercial printer now - called Astro, in Canada but... I used to run my own retail shop in downtown Toronto for 4.5 years. I offered one to for the general public and made quite a lot of money at it.... But the more business came in, the more I realized I had to take it very seriously, with quality and customer care. There is nothing wrong with charging 35$ plus for a shirt... and don't be afraid to turn away business when the demand gets crazy and people ask for a 10$ shirt....If that happens, send them to grand and toy or a stationary shop to make their own - value add the fact that you're making a go at this - be professional. What's inevitable in this industry is that 3 out of 5 people you speak to on any given day will want to make a shirt or know someone who prints shirts or needs shirts printed..
Just my humble opinion - but we are a busy company that is pretty happy with where we are in the marketplace.
