I would like some advice on a transfer job. I am just getting into transfers and these two examples are for my first jobs/quotes so I’d like to make sure I am getting the pricing correct.
Ex1: I will be using an image that is 5.5 inches and will be ganged 4 per 12x12 sheet with one color @ 72+ shirts. Here is my pricing so far: 1.08 = Transfer cost @72 / 4 = .27 per transfer. .84 cents a min = labor x 3 min per shirt = 2.52 (Shop time = 50 an hour / 60 = ~.84 cents a minute.)(# min includes cutting, press time and pack/box) 2.52 + .27 = 2.79 +20%(sample and spoil) = 3.34$ Total cost for transfer applied. Does this sound appropriate?
Ex2 I will be using 2 full sheets for a front and back printed shirt. This is a smaller order @ 24 shirts. Pricing is: 1.79 x 2 = 3.58 transfer cost .84 cents a min = labor x 4 min per shirt = 3.36 3.58 + 3.36 = 6.94 + 20% = 8.32$ Total cost for transfer applied. Does this sound appropriate?
I just want to make sure I will be making money on this and not overcharging, which it seems ok so far, but I’m not positive though. Thanks to all who take the time to reply and have a good day!

Sounds like you are on the right track. You don't have a cost for the shirt in there? I assume they are giving you the shirts. Also, you don't have design time in the price either. Maybe that was done for you? Are you delivering/ shipping or is it a pick up? On the heat transfers did you have someone else print them or did you print them yourself? If so, you have to figure in any shipping if someone else printed them and sent them to you or if you printed them yourself you need to figure in ink cost. These are just a few things I can think of that you may or may not have to consider.
I will supply the shirts but the costs/profit that go with them are built in to the shirt cost.

I will be having them made for me but I assumed that spoil and sample mark up would cover shipping costs, but I may be wrong. I will have to check on shipping costs to see if this will be enough to cover them or if I need to change the % mark up.
Thanks for the replies and have a great day all!!!
