How do I Make ink Nice and Glossy to pop off of a shirt
Hi guys,
I want to print black ink on a black shirt and in order for the contrast to be apparent i want to make the ink super glossy so the shine defines the design. Is there an additive i add to the ink to make it glossy or a gel coat that screens over the black ink?? Any advice would be appreciated.

There are gel coats to print over your color to make it pop. You can also try heat pressing the image after you've printed it. That may also increase the "shiny" quality of the ink.

If you heat transfer use High Gloss Transfer Paper at 360f. This will give any ink a gloss finish. probably need 2 layers of ink. Athletic inks are designed to have a high gloss finish. WHen using gels it is recommended that you cure at a higher temperature

You might try this, there is a clear plastisol you could print on top. Your emulsion need to be thick so triple coat screen. But you will get the desired result.

That's what I was referring to, John... high density clear ink.
And, like I mentioned, if Victor wanted to use just one screen, he could mix 5% hd clear into his black ink.
