Default Jantex Waterbased White ink

Hello, new here at this forum. I had a question about using Jantex waterbased (rfu) inks. I'm trying out waterbased inks for my shirts, my local shop carries Jantex, so I tried it out and had some terrible results using their White Ink. I flashed 4+ times, but never got a good result. During Heat Flashing the ink turned purple in some areas ( I was printing on dark navy blue shirt). Has anyone else had these strange results? Thanks!

Best,
Richard

Wanted to follow up my last post. Would I have better results printing White with Plastisol ink, vs Waterbased? I really would like to stick with Waterbased inks, but Can anyone out there make a suggestion based on their experience. I appreciate it very much!

Best, Richard

Were you printing on a poly blend? Because if so it was probably dye migration from flashing so much.

Yes. Well... sort of. At their best, no, the results are no better. But getting the print to be its best is easier with plastisol. I'm a fan of waterbased ink (I don't use plastisol), but white on dark is its biggest weakness.

I use Matsui's 301 opaque white when I have to, but whenever I can, I print white on darks using Matsui's white-pigmented discharge, called "discharge white." I have never heard of Jantex. White waterbased can be a real pain in the butt. It dries and clogs, which plastisol wouldn't do, but plastisol can have more of a hand, or a feeling of the layer of ink on the shirt.

I was testing out my printing with an Anvil 6.1 oz 100%cotton shirt (model 979).

Thanks for your response, here is the site for Jantex :- Jantex Inks, Inc. -

I appreciate your recommendation very much. Is the Matsui 301 ink a water based ink? if so, can you report in detail your experience with using it? flash times etc... that would be great! thx again!
