I'm doing softball jerseys but the dots on this design are fairly small. Just wondering what mesh i should use for the design, should i do the white with 158, and the rest with 110? your input will be great
Re: What mesh would you use for this print on a tshirt
It would depend on if I were using an auto or printing by hand. If using an auto I'd go 180 to 200 for the base white and 230 for the top colors. By hand I'd use a 158 - 160 for the base white and 200's for the top colors. 110 is TOO MUCH ink. Your customers will thank you for keeping the imprint thin on a hot summer day and your wallet will thank you for not dumping gallons of ink on each shirt.

I wasn't thinking on the amount of ink deposited, but in the smallest white points, and yes, it is right, smaller mesh size, less ink laid down.
Thank you.

The bottom line is how do you want the shirt to feel when you get a finished product. Do you press ink into the shirt or do you lay the ink on top of the shirt. How heavy is the shirt when your finished. Are you print flash print, double stroking the ink or just one coat of ink. How bright do you want the print to be. The answer to these questions should determine the mesh that you choose.
