Re: What ink is best for my designs on black american aparrel shirts!!?? Printing neon onto an dark AA shirt is tricky. Most of the time you have to use an underbase that is printed/flashed/printed/flashed, then neon on top. That can make for a heavy handed print that the people who like wearing AA's probably wouldn't care for. The problem with neon inks is they are transparent in nature. They don't have the pigment you find in other plastisol colors therefore requiring you to do more work for the colors to pop. I would consider using a discharge underbase and find a series of neon plastisol that isn't transparent. AA's discharge very well and adding an opaque neon color on top would give you a much more pleasant shirt to wear, and probably be brighter in color as well. Now, I don't have to print neons very often so I can't offer much advice on high opacity neon inks, but I'm sure the google machine could help solve that issue. Try Union maxopaque neons and I have heard that Ultrasol Inks has high opacity neons but I can't comment on their effectiveness first hand. Good luck. |
