Default discharge printing on blacks

i have a 3 color design i was trying to discharge on black shirts. purple and yellow fade into each other making a blend in the middle. when i tried using discharge for all 3 colors the color of the fade area was muddy brown. how do i solve this? will a full discharge underbase work with discharge spot color with halftones on top? or will i have to have to switch to plastisol with discharge underbase?
has anyone had to print a job like this? it is a pretty simple design i'm just having the problems with the halftones meeting

You only need to discharge a dye on a shirt one time. Once you do an underbase you can do all the printing over the top with plain waterbase colors or plastisols once all the water is flashed off. Vent well.
