Talking Silk screen experimenter needs paint type suggestion.

I am not sure if I want to do silk screen so I would like to buy a couple of frames and manually make a shirt before jumping into buying equipment.

One source says I can use my heat gun for drying and sunlight for developing.

Now ink. What kind of ink would you suggest I buy for my experiment?

I paint on 50/50 blends.

Please recommend a brand and website.

Thanks for the help.

Yes.

Waterbased ink, not plastisol. Waterbased is easier to cleanup, and it's disadvantages (drying in the screen) only really come into effect on larger print runs. For home based experimentation it's no competition.

It's a "Do I want to do this?" experiment... use any. Most art supply stores stock Speedball. Better stores stock better brands (like Permaset for example). Go to your nearest art supply store and they'll sort you out.
