Default shirts smelling after using discharge ink.

I did a round of shirts using discharge ink on two different brands of shirts. one was next level and the other was bare apparel. both shirts now smell like sulfer or egg. I washed both shirts and they still smell. Is there any solution to this problem?
Thanks,
scott

HI Scott,
All discharge inks basically contains Formaldehyde (hence is the smell). To get rid of this use 2gpl (Grams per Liter of Water) of Hydrogen Peroxide (50% concentrated Product) in water and rinse for 5-10 min.
Do not do it in bulk take a printed swatch rinse in above solution, then wash with running water and see its smell.

CAUTION: Hydrogen Peroxide is a bleaching agent excessive usage will bleach your T's ground colours.
BEST REGARDS
VIJAY

There are now also discharge inks that don't contain formaldehyde.

Scott

How much of the Zinc Formaldehyde Sulfate additive powder did you mix into your discharge ink, and did you fold and pack them soon after printing?

if it still stinks when it comes out of the dryer, it is not fully discharged and needs to be ran through again. gas convection dryers are the best for this process. stan
