Default Shiny black ink? What kind of ink is it?

I saw a shirt design that had a black logo on a black shirt. I tried it but the ink looks dull on my design and you can't really see it. The texture of the design that I saw kind of looked like the tape that electricians use. The black kind. Am I explaining this right? Thanks.

Hi Rob

I'd need to see the design, but it sure sounds like you're describing Black Foil Transfer.

It's subtle and dramatic, and has a distinct contrast on a black shirt compared to thick, black ink.

Happy trails!

Sounds like either foil or a transfer.

You can always try to play with a gel to see if it'll come out with results that you're happy with. I have been able to print a clear gel over an unberbase to give a shiny wet look.
