Re: photoshop - painshop The difference in price between PaintShop Pro and Photoshop definitely makes it tempting to go with PSP, and PSP has some good features, but the question you should ask yourself is if you want to go with the less expensive choice, or the industry standard. Additionally, I'm not sure what vector tools PSP has, and Photoshop's are pretty good, but if you want to use mainly vector art, then Adobe Illustrator is the way to go.
That said, if I were you, I'd try to look for a used copy of Photoshop CS or CS2 for cheap. That way you can learn the industry standard and still not spend much money (I've seen CS2 on ebay for between $150-$200, CS is probably much cheaper). |
