No print place will touch my ImageClip transfers-fearing it will ruin their equipment I don't have my own Laser Printer that can do 11" x 17". I have to go to an outside source.
I went to Office Max, gave the girl there my disc and transfers and she printed what I needed. One got stuck in the printer, it looked slightly melted, but she shrugged it off and did all the rest with a manual fed, and it worked great with no problem. Maybe the one melted since it got stuck.
When I went back to get more printed it was some other worker, and he wouldn't do it, saying laser heat transfers will melt and ruin the machine. There was no convincing him, even when I showed him a printed one and a worker just a day ago did them. He stated that she was new here and uninformed to our policies.
So I go to Staples, and the lady refused with the same reasoning. I went to Kinko's and again the paper got stuck because the person would not manual feed it, even when I warned her and asked her to.
Very frustrated at this point, I went to the do-it-yourself station at kinko's, using a manual feed printer. Hoping this was the ticket of "if you can't have some one do it, then do it yourself". But the laser printer ink would not get warm enough to stick to the glossy transfer paper after 3 tries, making a powder-y mess.
What can I do here without having my own laser printer, or the money to afford one right now? I need some help here. I want laser prints. |
