 New to screen printing
Hi, I have just started screen printing and im having a hard time getting good prints. First of all what ink is more effective and makes nicer quality shirt and where can i find this ink. Also The white ink i have is thicker than the other inks, but when i go to print on a shirt my design comes out very thick with ink, or its blotchy and think and when it drys its really rough when you touch it. What do i do so its not thick and comes out nice? Also when i print, i flood the screen with ink then i use alot of pressure and come back accross the screen, My squeege covers the whole image but the ink doesn't go all the way through the screen onto the tshirt. I do multiple passovers and i still can't get the ink through certain spots. Could it be i didn't wash all of the emulsion out? And last but not least i wanna know where i can get really nice quality 100% cotton or 50poly/50cotton shirts at that like the real big companies use (DC,Matix,Volcom,etc..) Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated. |
