Re: What is the REAL cause of fibrelation? like the article says , its cuased by an ink deposit that is too thin to sufficiently encapsulate or matt down the shirt fibers......
its more noiticeable in high contrast situations.....like the article says red on white or white on black....on a black shirt ...if the first stoke cycle (before the flash) does'nt fully matt down the fibers and then gets flashed , the stuck up fibers are sealed in plastic and are next to impossible to matt down after the flash with the next print cycle.....
on white shirts (especially with wet on wet or softhand printing) the print looks fine fresh out of the dryer but after washing the fibers break free from the thin coat of plastisol and break through the ink film, and since the shirts fibers are white it looks as if the print is fading...
buy a magnifying loupe and check it out
