Re: My review of installation of 2 different CIS systems This is just an up-date on my installed cis sytems.
So far really no problems at all, but I did need to use the reset buttons on each to reset the ink levels.
Perhaps the printer itself determines that its time to replace the ink cartridges by its use rather than an actual guage like your car gas tank.
It was very simple to do, first the printer tells you to replace ink carts, you put it in that set up mode than press the white reset button once for two seconds then release then repeat again for two seconds and release. After that all you do is press the button on the printer for the final replacement as you would if you changed the original carts, it re-charges and the ink levels go back to full.
I am still on the original 4oz bottles of inks that came with both systems but I do need to order more for backup.
These systems have been great, and the inks are transfering so good, no color shifting, banding or any other problems at all. I am very happy with both and they have already saved me lots of bucks compared to the epson durabrite costs.
I do like both systems from each supplier (inkjetcarts.us and inkrepublic.com ) but the inks from Ross at injetcarts.us are a little better and so much cheaper. Ross has told me they are from a manufacturer in New York and not China.
Hope this helps anyone considering the decision to purchase one of these systems into diong it, it really has been woth it.
If you have questions or need help pm me, I will do my best to help.
