I've seen some people with em on desks, depends on how long of a run you're expecting I suppose. I have a SP300V printer/cutter and usually jobs are a yard or longer, so it needs the stand (and a takeup roll, as right now I've just got a craftily folded box!).
If you're planning on just doing t-shirts, stickers, etc where your job length is probably just a foot or so then a GX24 or other small sized cutter should work fine sitting on the desk. |
