Default Re: how do i select around object

ok I will explain it to you. After you have converted to bitmap, go to the bitmaps menu and go down to trace bitmap, I usually will use high quality image as I think it traces best. Once it opens the trace part of the program make sure to have the remove backround selected and you can also adjust the smoothing and detail sliders but you shouldnt have to for just a logo. Then hit ok and it will trace and leave a new copy on top of the copy you had on your workspace. Now you can move the new copy to the side and remove the original copy. You can just delete the original copy off of there, just make sure when you save, to save as a different name so it doesnt alter your original copy. so now that you have removed the original copy go and click on the new copy you have made, go to arrange and click ungroup. It will now seperate all of the pieces of the graphic and you can remove what you dont want on it just by deleting that portion. Let me know if you have any problems.
