Re: Best printer? I just bought an Okidata C8800 laser for heat transfer. From the extensive research I did, I felt that laser was a better option. I'm still waiting for laser paper to arrive, but the color quality on the C8800 is about as close to an actual photograph as I've ever seen from a printer.
I had a 1280 a few years ago that I used for printing photos and graphics and the C8800 blows it away. I can't compare the two for printing transfers because I didn't use the 1280 in that capacity and I just got the 8800.
If you want to do sublimation, look at the Epson R1400, which is replacing the 1280. Heat transfer and sublimation are two different processes, but something like the R1400 will do both by changing ink. |
