 help choosing a manual 4-colour press
i'm just getting started here, and would love some advice on choosing a press. i'm in college so i'm not looking for anything encrusted with diamonds, although this is something that i hope to continue with for quite some time so quality is pretty important. i'm willing to spend around a thousand bucks, give or take. after looking around, i think a four-colour press would be good, but i'm not really sure beyond that. are table top presses completely lame? also, i've read that micro-registration is important, but i don't quite understand it. joysticks?! micros?! what is this stuff? i'm sort of crazy about registration when printing on paper so when i start with textiles, i'm sure i'll be just as anal. what do you guys suggest?
